Exciting News for Immigration Hopefuls: Three Provinces Extend Invitations to PNP Candidates

Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) are a pathway to residency in Canada that allows each province (except Nunavut and Quebec) to select economic immigration candidates who can contribute to the local economy and community. The PNP has been around since 1998 and is designed to distribute immigration across Canada, rather than concentrating it in large cities like Toronto or Vancouver. PNPs have multiple streams catering to different groups of people, including international students, skilled workers, and professionals in specific fields.

This week, Ontario, British Columbia, and Manitoba are reaching out to potential candidates for their PNPs. The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) dispatched Expressions of Interest (EOIs) to 209 applicants under the Employer Job Offer; Foreign Worker Stream, each attaining a minimum score of 53. This draw is specifically aimed at candidates skilled in trades occupations, marking the program’s first draw of its kind since January 9, ever since a total of 630 candidates received invitations from the province. Ontario continues its efforts to attract skilled workers, ensuring a diverse workforce for its growing economy.

British Columbia’s Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) conducted a modest draw on April 23, extending invitations to just over 86 candidates from the Skilled Worker and International Graduate streams, including Express Entry BC applicants. Candidates were selected through five separate draws tailored to specific occupations.

In Manitoba, the province invited 327 candidates from three streams, including 203 candidates from the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream who had completed their post-secondary studies in Manitoba. These candidates required a minimum score of 811 to qualify.

Overall, these provinces are looking for candidates who can contribute to their local economies and communities. If you’re interested in settling down in Canada, the PNP might be your golden ticket.
